Stefan von Holtzbrinck, co-owner (50%) of the Georg von Holtzbrinck publishing group, which was founded by his father, and its managing director. He is one of Germany's wealthiest publishers and holds a seat on the board of trustees of the Max Planck Foundation, which he initiated, and is an honorary senator of the Max Planck Society. Stefan von Holtzbrinck is the half-brother of Dieter von Holtzbrinck. The other 50% of the company was inherited by their half-sister Monika Schoeller's only daughter, Christiane Schoeller, after her death.

  • Dieter von Holtzbrinck
    is the half-brother of Stefan von Holtzbrinck and the son of the publisher Georg von Holtzbrinck, who founded the Holtzbrinck publishing group in the late 1940s. Dieter ran the publishing house for over 20 years. In 2009, he sold his shares and founded Dieter von Holtzbrinck Medien GmbH (DvH Medien), which acquired 50% of Zeitverlag as well as the Tagesspiegel and Handelsblatt. In 2019, he retired from the business and handed over the role of Chairman of the Supervisory Board to Michael Grabner.

    was a co-owner of the Georg von Holtzbrinck publishing group with her half-brother Stefan von Holtzbrinck (50% each) and was the long-standing head of the S. Fischer publishing houses in Frankfurt am Main. Schoeller died in 2019. She left her shares to her only daughter, Christiane Schoeller.
